ABUSES of POWER

It's trite to remind people that power is abused.  Everyone has experienced it. Yet, it continues in all spheres of our lives.  My expertise is as a parent and teacher.  In ABUSES of POWER in EDUCATION: Challenging Practically Everything, I give numerous examples of how everyone, teachers, parents, administrators, and students abuse their power.  I don't just expose or complain, but I offer doable solutions for each to BALANCE power and give sufficient power to each group so that it can be reasonably accountable for its members' actions. I call my type of classroom (which I've created from 1st grade to university) the Self-Sustaining Classroom.  It is a place where everyone feels safe, knows that others care, and each can achieve to his/her potentials.  It's not easy to do, but it is worth the effort,
